Akron Public Schools Transportation Reimbursement

If you are currently living in the Akron Public School (APS) district and you have a child in K-8th grade, you may be eligible for transportation or payment in lieu (PIL).  If your address is current with the office, you should have received a Request for Transportation in the mail recently.  The application period for K-8 students for the 2017-18 school year is now open and will close on May 30, 2018.  In order to receive full payment (pending approval) your application and corresponding documents must be submitted by September 30, 2017.  Any applications received after that date will be pro-rated.

If you have previously submitted a Request for Transportation (RFT) and have not moved, changed primary phone numbers, or changed schools, you may submit the Information Update for Transportation Services (attached).

If you are submitting a RFT for the first time or if you have moved, changed primary phone numbers, or changed schools, you must submit a new RFT (attached).  If you are submitting a new RFT, you must include Proof of Residency (POR) and your child’s birth certificate with your application.
