We are pleased to announce that Michael Gannon will be the First Grade teacher for the class of 2025. Mr. Gannon has been part of our faculty since 2003. He taught the class of 2009 from grade three through graduation and he has taught the class of 2017 since first grade.
He has a BA from Hiram College in Psychology and Fine Arts, a Masters in Education from Antioch University, and completed his Waldorf Certification with the Center for Anthroposophy. Mr. Gannon has served on many committees outside the classroom, including the Administrative Faculty, and the Personnel Committee. He is also involved in the greater Waldorf community and has served on accreditation teams, as an outside evaluator and as a Delegate to Association of Waldorf Schools of North America.
The end of this school year will be very busy and exciting for Mr. Gannon and the eighth grade. I would like to extend an invitation to the parents of next year’s first grade class to join Mr. Gannon for some coffee, tea, and conversation on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 8:45-9:45am. This informal, adults-only event will be an opportunity for you to learn more about your child’s teacher.
Mr. Gannon is looking forward to meeting the students and parents of the class of 2025. We will plan for a time for the class to meet over the summer.
